Partially. But the JonBot is legit pretty capable at discussing his creator's professional background.

How does JonBot work? Is it just a ChatGPT Assistant?

Not exactly. JonBot itself is an LLM with a custom system prompt and access to knowledge, but there is a little bit more going on under the hood.

The backend is two AI Agents (Higgins and JonBot) that have access to tools, like the ability to approve codes, read and write user information in a database, and send emails to Jon. The JonBot agent is powered by Google Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental which as of late April 2025 is (in Jon's experience) the most capable LLM for most purposes.

There are also some automated workflows to do things like transcribe chats and manage the handoff from Higgins to JonBot.

The agents and workflows are built in n8n. data is stored in Airtable, and the front end is just HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript.

Can my AI recruitment / interviewing agent interview the JonBot for a job opening?
